Hilton York Hotel

The breakfast selection was excellent, with fresh organic products and cooked-to-order eggs. The room itself left much to be desired. Cleanliness was an issue with cobwebs and an unclean toilet bowl noted. Late-night noise from a disco impacted sleep quality, detracting from what could have been a pleasant family stay.

Great location, only a short distance to Jorvik Viking Centre. Found in the shopping area adjacent to the centre of the City with views of Clifford Tower and the Museum and the shops and local bars and the local attractions and shopping area.

Really good breakfast quality with diverse options.

Bathroom was quite small and cramped for space.

Enjoyed the hilton double room with view, wouldn't mind staying there all day. A good choice of great breakfast items to choose from.

There was very hard bed in my room.

The location was incredible, a 10-15 minute walk from The Bars.

The location is amazing. Easy walking distance to all of the attractions the city has to offer and close to plenty of restaurants if the hotel restaurant isn't to your taste. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

The rooms could do with some updating. Some of the fixtures were starting to show their age, but overall they were still very comfortable.

The breakfast was excellent.

Window could not be opened properly at first. Only after I complained did the room service come with a key and unlocked it.

i emailed in advance to see if i could check in early (midday) as we were attending a wedding at the hotel at 1pm. The email reply said 'no problem.' It was a problem for them and we did nt get the room while 3 pm. i wouldve rather they'd said 'no' and i couldve made other arrangements

no minibar; there was hair was lying in the sink when we just arrived

Overall cost was far too expensive for accomdation.the room was clean and facilities standard.the space between the bed and the wall was only about foot wide which is very poor and resulted in many a bruised shin. It was actually quicker to climb over the bed than to shuffle against the wall.the bathroom was clean and bright but the bath was far to small for a giant who is only 5ft 4 tall.the staff were friendly.the breakfast was very disappointing due to it being self service.at £144 per night maybe I expected to much.also to charge £17 for parking is a bit much especially when its only £15 on the web. I have stayed in travel lodges which are a lot better value and have more spacious rooms, better breakfast and free parking

excellent access to york's must-see attractions and parks

the staff were really cute and it was just a short walk to the amazing york minster and the historic city walls, making my weekend exploration effortless and enjoyable.
